Its not a case of what operating system the Mac is running, but rather a case of what system must be on the utility CD in order for the iBook to boot from it. Therefore all of the utility CDs with previous systems to 10.3.2 on them, like DiskWarrior and most TechToolPro CDs (previous to version 4) will not boot the G4 iBooks.
