If it is going to be wireless! why all the connectors? that is defeating the

What makes this little box wireless is that you no longer need ANY cables connected to your laptop/home computer to access the printer, internet, external monitors, flatbed scanners, external hard drives, zip drives. . .anything that's USB or firewire. Right now, the only thing that exists is wireless internet and wireless printing. Wireless printing is basically the same thing I'm suggesting. . .the only difference is that a printer server is a little box with a USB port. . .and that's it. (There's also a parallel model for people who insist on using parallel printers.) The only thing about my idea that may be completely science fiction would be the video side of it. . .or am I wrong? Is it possible to have a wireless monitor? Who knows what the future will bring.

you just have a receiver next to the internet connector (airport hub) and a
card in the mac no wires needed.

no need for connectors or cables if your little box has all those connectors
on it for different things. Why don't you just call it the (OCTO box now
with display support and Wireless). or you could call it (Back of the TV box
with enough connectors for any cable! make your own spaghetti junction.!)

I think it might not exist my friend!

Does this exist?

Imagine: A small box that contains say two firewire 400 ports, two
firewire 800 ports, two USB 1.1, two USB 2.0 ports, a VGA port AND a
DVI port. This box plugs into the wall with included AC adapter for
power. . .and there's an antenna popping up the middle for 802.11g!
Wouldn't that be cool? A box that would allow the user to plug in
ANYTHING. . .and make it wireless! Think of it folks. . .people like
me with my Pismo as my main computer. . .all I'd have to do when I'm
home is plug in my Pismo into the wall for power, turn it on and VOILA.
. .instant wireless access to the internet, external monitor, scanner,
CDRW, printer (already exists), and whatever else that may be plugged
into this magical little device. Is this food for thought? Does this
exist somewhere over the rainbow? Do I need to call a patent lawyer?
What do you folks think? Can it be done?
