Lombard screen

I have a Lombard 333/14.1" screen. I have noticed that the bottom 
half/quarter is fairly brighter than the top. at any angle, parallel to my 
face or not, the bottom is sort of washed out. I've tried various colourSync 
profiles and creating my own...still the same results.  I do not know if 
this is a backlight, inverter board or screen problem, or if this is normal. 
The colour on my screen is also not as dark/matched as my CRT on my other 
Mac. I've also tried adjusting the brightness, but to no avail. When I have 
not used it for a while, the screen is kinda dark...then it graduallyt 
warms/brightens up over 5 minutes. Any ideas?
