BTW, you may remember that in the past (OS 8.5/6) there was some conflict between Adaptec's extension and Apple's UDF extension. Re-ordering those two extensions so that Apple's preceded Adaptec's solved the conflict (and the 3rd-party Joliet Volume Access Extension also clashed with these extensions until it was placed ahead of them).
I'm wondering if any re-ordering is necessary with the new Adaptec extensions? Have any knowledge on that?
Never heard of that. I have both extensions, loading in alphabetical order on my Macs running OS 8.6, 9.1, and 9.2.2. UDF discs work fine. ISO9600 w/Joliet discs work fine.
