I have just bought a fairly cheap iBook Ice 500MHz.

The guy says the PSU blew (?) and took the iBook's
power input with it, that is

- it works on battery

- does not charge
- does not work off mains

He bought a new charger which he tried, no differance.

Questions:

1. Could this be simple to fix ? How ?

2. Is it possible to power the iBook through the battery
terminals ? He's included a spare crap battery which
one could butcher and connect the PSU directly to
the battery terminals, but which ones ???

Larry
