I've been reading everything in this thread and have to put in my $.02. Due to some silly problem after Hurricane Andrew back in 1992 the Florida legislature passed a law that "somehow" prohibits us from purchasing AppleCare. All we can get is the 3 months of phone support and the 1 year warrantee. IF, I could purchase AppleCare, I surely would. Apple has been excellent in any contact that I have needed from them.
