Did you have the main battery in when you plugged it in the iBook?

PSU -> DC board outside iBook (ORANGE) PSU -> iBook - No battery (GREEN) PSU -> iBook - Battery (ORANGE) will see if it turns green...

Not sure if it charges the battery as I am reluctant to run down
the battery to see.

I bought it like this knowing it was like this.
