This is a new problem for me -- I've never seen it before. Whenever I insert
a blank disk in my PowerBook (Pismo) or in my external QueFire burner, it is
not recognized.
Have you checked your system preferences? In CDs and DVDs you can set the action your Mac takes when you insert a blank disc. Perhaps the problem machine is set to ignore it.
