This is really a question for Ben and Tim. After your comments about your upgrades, have you seen much of a speed improvement on the G4 iBooks?


The 15" Aluminium 1.25 GHz with 1 GB RAM has the same performances, the G4 14" iBook 933 MHz with 384 MB RAM is slightly slower.

Really slightly, actually the same thing.

I did not notice any speed improvement that some site describe (next week I will install Tiger on the G5 dual processor and let you know).

I would say, in term of general feed back, menu response etc... we are still way behind the feeling of OS 9 on the early G3-G4 Macs!
