I have been using Spotlight--quite a bit.
Safari is way faster--I mean that thing rocks. Although I am still using Firefox because it is more intuitive and allows for more user control.
Mail is fine--I just wished there was "next" and "previous" buttons AND some sort of an indication when it is checking the mail (I know I can get the Activity Viewer but then I wished the window would appear and then would disappear when finished).
Dashboard IS a toy. I have nixed it and went back to Konfabulator. Why should I use two hands and press two buttons in order to get the information that can easily be ready for viewing on the desktop using Konfabulator?
I like Bonjour in principle--although I have not been able to pick up anyone with another Mac in range to test whether it works or not.
What I am really impressed about is Tiger's speed at start up and Safari's.

I finally got around to installing Tiger on Monday in my Powerbook. I learned a few things that might benefit others:
--I used the "upgrade" method, figuring if it didn't work well I could wipe it off and start over using a different method. It worked flawlessly. I can't remember an easier major software install. All except a few settings carried over perfectly. It took a little less than an hour to install. I tried all the software I can think of and found it all working without problem.
--When I clicked on Mail in the dock, it bounced once then nothing happened. I had heard about several people who had problems with Mail and was concerned. In a fit a genius, I opened a Finder window to Applications and found two listings for Mail. I clicked on the newer one and it opened, everything in tact.
--I was prepared not to like the new Mail layout, but putting the mailbox list in a panel rather than a drawer works better because it opens and closes easier.
--Spotlight indexed my system at about a gig a minute. I'm impressed with this speed.
--One of the first things I did was close the security hole by setting Safari to never open anything it downloads.
--As others have reported, system seems zippier. My monitor display improved enormously. It's much sharper and brighter with truer colors.
--Dashboard seems like a toy but an interesting toy, something I could have fun with. It may even have potential to be useful.
Overall, I like the the improvements. I think I'll get my hundred bucks worth.
