I changed the drive to a +/- superdrive (Pioneer DVR-K05) *and* installed PatchBurn, and it will read + disks. Without PatchBurn, it would only read - disks. I believe it is more related to the system software's view of the drive's capabilities than it is of the drive's capabilities themselves. Before PatchBurn, the drive was not supported; after PatchBurn, it was "supported by vendor" (but not by Apple), but nevertheless, it now will read + disks, whereas before it wouldn't. -- G-Books is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
