Absolutely. Just make sure it is a 12.7mm model and that it has a universal 50 pin miniature connector, as all of them now do. The Lombard/Pismo bezel will not fit any current drive, so there will be a cosmetic issue, and the slot loader is probably the best, cosmetically and operationally. (The Pioneer DVR-K15, a variation of the previously mentioned DVR-K05, is tray loading. The bezel from the stock Panasonic/Matshita definitely will not fit the front of this drive :( ). The DVR-K05/K15 is supported by 10.4 without PatchBurn; is supported by 10.3 with PatchBurn. The Panasonic UJ-845S requires PatchBurn in both cases). I believe the true super drive is a DVR-K04.
