Hi Sue,

        the first step should be to see if you have a rev.1 or rev.2
motherboard.
The rev.2 has a chip under the PCI slots marked CMD 646U2-402,
the rev.1 is only CMD 646U2.

You can look in http://www.xlr8yourmac.com You will find there even
pictures about that.

If you have a rev.2, almost any drive should work

The rev.1 produces data corruption with some drives
You should read the reports of the users there

PD I have read that the Quantum Fireball AS is a good drive, I don't know
if it works with the rev.1
