Hi,

It's important to know that B&W rev1 not only shows corruption with slave
drive, but also with SINGLE drive if you intend to replace the original
drive by a faster and larger one.

To know if your B&W's mobo is rev1 or 2, just check the p/n on the mobo
itself (near the Cpu socket and the DIMM slots).

It reads: 
Apple computer Inc 
�1998
820-xxxx-y

Where "x" are numbers and "y" is a letter. If that letter is an "A", you've
got a rev 1. If lettre is a "B", then uou got a rev2.


I can't understand why apple sold a machine without detecting the IDE chip
problem...
