All of the 3-com (formerly US Robotics) stand-alone modems will work, whether
they claim to be "Mac 'n' Fax" or not.
The "Mac 'n' Fax" modems come with a DB-25-to-mini-DIN-8 cable which supports
hardware handshaking according to Apple serial port conventions.
The "non-Mac 'n' Fax" modems are the same, but don't come with a cable.
You can construct a cable from the provided instructions.
