Oh yes there is something wrong with it. :) If you were doing serious print
design (maybe you are, if so I apologize) then you would know about the bugs
pagemaker is rife with compared to quark 3.3.2.

There is a reason why print people still use that version religiously
(admittedly quark 4 isn't bad now that its patched) and thats because it is
consistent and it works, especially printing to film or direct to plate.

A lot of people really like pagemaker's interface (I happen to prefer
quark's) and thats fine... But pagemaker is sorely lacking in a lot of
areas... Not to mention just the amount of bugs in it.

Many, many people first learn print using pagemaker because its what schools
use for cost reasons (quark has like no educational discount compared to
pagemaker's) but it definetly has issues.

I have so many horror stories about pagemaker... Like I did most of the work
on setting up the notre dame and loyola media guides, all done in pagemaker.
The links and databases would seemingly randomly corrupt, and rebuilding
them would sometimes fix it and sometimes wouldn't. Images in 300page
documents would disappear, couldn't get correct registration printing to
film... You name it.

There is a reason why quark is the standard. :) Ugh, I have to say though my
biggest client fear before were pagemaker documents... Now its framemaker.
