I could only wish you had the job of putting your creations on film or
plates. I've worked in the imaging departments of some high-grade color
printing plants in San Diego and Los Angleles and I have never, repeat
never, seen any quality pieces done in Pagemaker. But, then again, I catch
myself doing the very things that I used to curse artists for now that I am
a graphic artist and away from the responsibility of putting my creations on
film or plate, or as is the case now, cylinders. Amazing how much things can
change. But the only reason I use Pagemaker now is to stay familiar with it,
so in case I receive someone's work on it. It is like trying to stay in
touch with your beginnings, when you didn't know any better.
