OK, part two of solving the mystery of what the cat did to my g3
motherboard...

For you technicians in the audience- Would shorting a motherboard cause
the power supply to not supply power to the internal hard drive, or any
other drive in the g3? At this point, when I power on the machine, I get
a green light indicating power, but never any advancement form there.
THe harddrive does not power up, the cd does not, the internal zip
flashes once and then nothing (all of these of course with a disk in
place...). And NOTHING from the monitor or anything else.

For those of you who missed the story, my cat jumped onto an opened
beige G3 that I am rebuilding to donate to Big brothers/big sisters.
SNAP went the PCI internet10/100 card. NO MORE WORK said the motherboard.

Unless it is the power supply...

how do you tell?

thanks!
gregg
