i thought the phone company did that, although they doubtless want $$
for it.  if the computer does it i'd think you'd have to have call
waiting and software smart enough to hear the beep, switch to the other
call (temporarily disconnecting you from the net) and then transfer
back, and likely redial since the isp will likely have disconnected you.
 i don't see any way it could work on an ordinary phone line without
call waiting.  now on an isdn line it could just cut your speed in half
and use the other half for the voice call, i think you can do that on
isdn, and possibly on adsl.
