Hi folks, I'm new to this list because I just bought a B&W (thanks again Kyle). Modem speeds were pretty slow with my GV USB modem, which I figured was due to using OS9.2.1 and the fact that the USB modem driver for this modem was not made for newer versions of the OS. I decided to try the internal B&W modem and I just finished installing it. However, the modem is not being seen by any software. I'm in the process of looking for updates which might fix this, but if anyone has info on this subject it would speed things up for me. Also, I read on the xlr8yourmac.com/G3-ZONE site that there is a ROM updater for this machine. How do I tell if the update has been applied? Could that have anything to do with the modem issue? At times, typing will display very slowly, as with Outlook Express or IE5. I've never seen this before, even on a slow machine. Is there something about the OS or the B&W that can cause typing to display extra slow at times.
