Is this OS X running Classic or OS 9? I've never had OS X to the point that
Classic can't be re-"booted" (more like opened since it is now an
"emulation" application rather than an OS) (go into System Preferences:
Classic and restart Classic, or cmd-opt-esc and kill Classic Environment and
re-open a Classic app).
