That is exactly my point Alexander, it SHOULDN'T be a platform issue but
Linksys makes it one. *That* is why I get my panties in a wad. Linksys
offers no Mac Support. How hard would it be? How hard would it be to
offer a Mac Manual? Geez. One intern coiled mod the PC version into Mac
and PDF it in a couple of hours. How hard would it be to have a small Mac
troubleshooting department? Everyone in the Tech industry knows that it
takes 10 PC techs for every 1 Mac tech. You think it would be a small
price to pay for a 7% market group? My point is this... They don't. They
don't care, they won't support the Mac period. That is why I hate them.
On one occasion I was literally laughed at over the phone by a tech that
refused to help me. They are ignorant, have no concept of customer
service, and are not thinking about the "long run." Hardware fails, and if
they advertise their products in MacMall they should DAMN WELL be ready to
offer help to the end user.
I have and will continue to advise EVERY client and individual that I work
with NEVER to buy a Linksys product. And if a Mac user tells me that they
knowingly bought a Linksys router then I file them in the idiot category.
They are the ones that will be crying about the lack of Mac products down
the line, and they will have been part of the cause.
