No, what would it use for drivers? IOgear says use the Apple USB drivers.
They claim its compliant.

Tried all PCI slots. even the first one as per IO's instructions.

What model G3? did it have an existing USB port?

I'll try this next. (didn't know about the USB alerts). It seems that System
profiler knows the card is there but for some reason the System doesn't know
to turn on USB controls for the card, so the card isn't activated and
nothing on the USB chain is noticed.

I only have the USB card and the video card installed. USB is in #1 spot
video in #3 spot. switched them played with it in all spots, before /after
video card. Same results no good.
