I just purchased a Maxtor 60GB 7200 rpm Ultra ATA/133 Diamond Max
Plus hard drive to replace the 6GB drive on my G3/300 Beige Tower
Rev. 3 so I could upgrade from 8.6 to 9.2 to 10.2 . . . .

. . . . and then I discovered the hundreds of messages relating
problems with Maxtor drives.

So, what do you think? Should I send the unopened drive back and get
a different brand or should I plunge ahead and install it as
originally planned?

Keith
