RE; I was warned,,I bought a new 80gig maxtor a month ago,I changed it to master from slave,shi%%%$$,,,,a high pitched whine that occilates quietly but annoying next to my head with no other sound to drown it out except the occassional use of the CD or ZIP,Im changeing it back to the year old 45gig IBM really soon.
