You would think Apple would have noticed this one. I have a new Dual
867Mhz G4 (Mirrored Doors). I installed a Pioneer DVD burner. The cool
part the Mac recognized it as a SuperDrive after I installed it. The
bad part is the Drive tray can't eject because the mirrored door isn't
tall enough. I looked at the DVD-Rom. It's looks like a special OEM
designed for Apple. Can you believe that. Apple finally makes a Mac
that can't support a Slave drive, but fails to mention that you will
have to purchase a Mac OEM drive in order to utilize it. So I will be
forced to take apart the computer, and cut the metal and plastic in
order to make enough room for the Drive Tray to eject on my DVD Burner.
Apple really missed the boat on this one. just wanted to warn people
in case your in the market for a new PowerMac.
