Mark, I hadn't expected this question from you, because you are so knowledgeable, but 
anyway, if you run OS X, especially if you do that 24/7, off course a G4 is much 
faster than a G3 CPU and it will make a phat load of difference, because a G4 can take 
advantage of Altivec which OS X uses heavily.
