I have seen something curious in a german Mac magazine.
They have tested several graphic cards in an AGP G4, I don't remember
the model.
The tested cards included several GeForce's, AGP Radeon's and the Radeon 7000.
For comparisopn purposes, they included the Rage 128.
The Radeon 7000 was the slowest of the new cards in all tests, except one.
They created a very big Photoshop picture and scrolled it, to test 2D
performance.
The fastest card in this test was the Radeon 7000, when running
Jaguar, without enabling QE !!!!
Running 10.1.5, the 7000 was even slower than the Rage 128.
