Hello Again Mark

I just found out why my DVD's play so well

It appears that QE is not "On" during playback

Per latest issue of MacWorld, if QE is On,, I should be able to see
thru the transparent object to the movie playing behind,
No way Jose' . Not with my setup! A pull down menue blocks the movie!

My DVD is an Apple , Matshita SR-8585.

Any thoughts on this? Could it be the XLR8 CPU upgrade which is a
MACH Speed G4 ZIF MPe ?
