Maybe, or maybe not. I was 13 when I first saw a Macintosh Classic in my
school. After seeing lots of IBMs in my life, I had never really approached
a computer (at all) or like I did that day. I sat, played a little, tried
dumping the harddrive in the trash, dumped a bunch of things (I was naughty!)
yes upon restart the next day the Mac was still there usable. I was in
love... I played shufflepuck (my first game!), sim city 1.4C, centipede, etc.

TImes have changed the Mac platform is no longer the cute and unique trash
icon and those "copy of copy of copy of empty folder" like it used to be
since Winblows copied most of the features so the kid may not see the
difference other than he can't play the same games his friends can in their
trashy PCs. Even worse is that they are giving PC games & even encyclopedias
for free these days. Something that's sometimes too good to be true in the
Mac world. Instead take him to a Mac software store and browse through games
see what he likes, I remember I once went to Comp USA and found Loom & Oxyd
Magnum and didn't have any clue about them but I fell in love with them
REALLY! Then I remember we went to American Appliance (maybe) and found
Prince of Persia for only $6.99! Ahh... those were the days...
