Certainly a possibility. Assuming you are running Jaguar, there's one 
thing you could try that is free and may shed some light on things. 
Download Safari v51 and Safari Enhancer (it's freeware). Use Safari 
Enhancer to turn on the "debug" menu. Then go to "user agents" in the
"debug" menu. It will let you configure Safari to imitate either 
Mozilla, Netscape, 4.7, Netscape 6.2, Netscape 7.0, Mac MSIE, Windows 
MSIE, as well as Konqueror. Try each of these. If one of them allows 
you to access the site, you have narrowed the problem down.

The selection only applies to an individual session. Next time you 
launch Safari it defaults back to automatic. Very handy feature. This 
is how I am able to use Safari fro several browser specific sites I 
access.
