Hi all, Does anyone know the specs of the ATA controller in a G3/300MT (Rev B MoBo - ROM $77D.45F1)? I think it's ATA/66 but all the Apple literature just refers to it as ATA.
I want to replace the 4.5Gb drive with an ATA/100 drive (Seagate 380021A 80Gb), - will I find a) It'll work OK, but with a performance hit b) I'd be better fitting an ATA/100(133) controller card in a PCI slot c) It wont work without a added controller. If B) or c), has anyone any recommendations as to a good controller? Mac has 9.2.2. 10.2, 384Mb, and 2 x F&W SCISI drives as well.
