My old 8mm camcorder bit the dust over the weekend (pretty much smashed!). The Sony digital8 sounds like a good replacement since it can play back old 8mm tapes which is important to me at this point. The mid priced models like the TRV350 come with USB and Firewire support but are sketchy Mac support for USB. Any real world Mac experience or suggestions would be appreciated.
I'll be using a beige G3 MT OS9.2 for basic video/photo editing. I'll have to add firewire ports via PCI card and I might try Jaguar down the road a bit.
