The ATA cards treat the drive like a SCSI drive.  If you take a drive off of
a card and install it directly onto the internal BUS you have to reformat
it.  Same goes for the other direction.  Unless you are smart and use a high
quality Disk Utility like Hard Disk Speedtools (by IntechUSA...not to be
confused by FWB's Hard Disk Toolkit, which is garbage).

HDST will let you take over the drive and use it on any BUS.  It's a great
utility suite.
