It doesn't save time, it just saves the amout of "clicks" in the hardware. If you hold a mac mouse down, it activates a "right" click after a little bit of time. A right click would be faster, but there would be a better chance for the switch to die due to usage.
I still don't know why Apple won't put out a 2-button mouse as the standard
mouse on all their Macs -- that right button sure saves time!
Actually their argument is that having only one saves time, but that explanation is for another discussion.
