Is anyone running this current configuration on this list:
Sonnet Tempo Trio IDE FW USB 2.0 Card
I would like to know if anyone on the list has had any problems with these two upgrades, or could forsee any should I choose this upgrade path.
The Trio card has *serious* problems with some 3rd Rev G3's.
I have one of those, and it will *not* boot with the Trio card in it.
Sonnet seems unable to find the problem, or rather problem*s*, since they've indicated to me that they've fixed the problem on some of their test systems.
Too bad, it was a slick card in my 7600. :-(
If you're gonna spend the bucks on a ZIF upgrade, you might want to look at their just announced 700 mhz card or their 1000 mhz card. A 500MHZ card would likely be cheaper from OWC.
