Correct.

Valid (factory) combinations are: Rev. 1A, Rev. 2B and Rev. 3C.

Usable combinations, for purposes of acquiring Slave capability are: Rev. 1B
and Rev. 1C.

Usable combinations, for experimental purposes are: Rev. 3A and Rev. 3B.

My Beige G3/333 MT (A-V card) currently runs as a Rev. 3A with a 533 MHz OWC
ZIF. All UW-SCSI LVD, with the exception of a CD-ROM-R-R/W on EIDE Bus 0 and a
DVD-ROM-R-R/W on EIDE Bus 1.

Since I only have two EIDE devices on this box, there's no reason to "waste"
a Rev. C ROM in it.
