Hi Rev. George,
I would start w/ the cable, swap it if you can, OR if you have an external
SCSI box, put the drive inside and connect to the external SCSI port to see
if the drive boots properly.
Replace the drive w/ a known to be good one and start up again (you don't
mention if this drive is the actual Boot drive; if it is use an OS CD to
boot from) to see if it is the cable is the culprit in this scenario.
Also if you happen to have another drive, use it to verify that the SCSI bus
is
