But yes, I expect a video board would do fine with dead motherboard video. And you'd probably have better video too. Someone here recently said that rev a roms won't be happy in rev 3 motherboards. However, rev C roms do fine in rev 1 or 2 boards. If you paid $50 for the board and it has a rev C rom, you did fine.
