This media card acts like a "small" hard drive to the computer and can actually be used to save any computer file that it has space for. Essentially a small "flash drive" made specifically for the camera. I don't know which media card the Kodak uses.
I've had this camera over three years and I upgrader the memory chip to 128MB long ago. Never had a problem opening and downloading images in Photoshop. Never used a _media reader_ because I had no need of one, so I have no idea what is compatible with this camrea.
I still think I'm experiencing a system corruption issue. Just don't know where to start looking (or what to delete). I have trashed Photoshop, the Finder, System and MacOS preference files. Thanks for the input.
