Folder isn't normally flagged invisible though.  It is simply hidden 
automatically by the Finder because it's called "Desktop Folder". 
The is the same basic reason that the blessed System Folder,

Ahah!  So if I make it visible, it will remain hidden by os9 but available in
the normal way to everything else.   Thanks! That explains it exactly.
