I erase my junk mail everyday so the folder is empty all the time and the filter seems to work just as it has always worked.

Using Mail 1.3.3 I have set up the Junk email as normal. In general it has worked very well for me. Occasionally I have had to specify new mail as junk but not too often.

My question is whether the programatic process has any intelligence. Does the program learn what junk mail is as you specify it in the junk mail box? If I empty the junk mail box will I loose the learning?
