My personal feeling is tracking some of these people down and kneecapping them might be lenient.
When do we start?
I recently had some time off work and didn't check email on work account for 2 weeks. Over a 1000 mails and a less than a dozen were legit (and this is on a large corporate network with 'sophisticated spam filters', Mac Mail would have stopped 99% or more of them) This on a PII Win98 laptop on dialup and Outlook Express
