I was intimidated by stringing cable, as I wanted to link up office computers (SOHO set up) another in my daughter's room, and one out in the shop. This place is on a foundation and has an attic, so running wire was a possibility. Did a little research and took a trip to the local emporium of computer stuff (Fry's) and realized it was very doable. A couple of hundred feet of CAT 5e wire, some wall plates, plugs and jacks and the whole place is wired. Four Mac's and two wintel boxes, plus a couple of extra wall outlets for lap top use. Less than $150.00 total including $38.00 for tools. My longest run was 90 feet. Everything works, all time, 100 Mps conectivity, cheap, reliable and a lot easier than I though it would be.
