I just picked up a G4 533 digital audio with only 128 meg of ram. Yes, 10.2.8 will run (okay, at least walk, OK, OK, limps) in 128, but I know I need more. I thought the ram in my beige was 133, but alas, it is only 100 and will not work in this Mac.

Looking at ebay for 512 meg sticks, I saw one auction that says that the listed stick will not work in Macs and directs you to a stick from the same seller for twice the price. I thought pc133 ram was pc133 ram (excluding the expensive ECC server ram). Does my G4 need special ram, or is this seller just prolonging the if it is for a Mac, it has to be more expensive mentality?

Please help, the lowest price on dealram for a 512 stick is 99 shipped, but I can get one on ebay for 68 shipped. Is there any difference in pc133 ram?

Thanks,
Len
