>The G3DT supported both IDE and SCSI.

All members of this family (G3 GT, G3 MT, G3 AIO) supported IDE and
N-SCSI, but SCSI cables were supplied only on the early machines, the
so-called Rev. 1 machines, which could only support a Zip if it was SCSI.

With the Rev. 2 and 3 machines, the N-SCSI cable was deleted as Slaves
(for the Zip) were supported (but an UW-SCSI cable would be present if it
was sold as a server).

You can install an Apple OEM UW-SCSI card in the DT and MT, and then that
machine can support IDE, N-SCSI and UW-SCSI, for a maximum of five
drives, one of which must be the floppy in a DT, and is the floppy in an
MT but can be replaced with any 3.5" drive of 1.6" high or less.
