I converted my G3 DT to an ATX case a few months ago. I can't use the case for much else since I decided to keep the built-in video, which required cutting up the back of the ATX case.
My power supply is a 400 watt model, with a power switch in the back. I can turn on the Mac with the power key on the ADB keyboard or the power switch on the front of the case. Having a switch on the power supply didn't affect it at all.
