I finally found a new case cheap enough to try the experiment. $9.95 new at Fry's with 300w supply. Got the board in, got the power hooked up Get a bong, get a cursor, but get nothing through either IDE channel, just the blinking ? disk and I've tried a pretty large set of variations/combos including single drive master on the HD that was in the G# tower and the original 24x cd the same, but no booting past the ? the drives spin up, clikety clack and stop. Not getting some signal. Got the scsi bus to see a drive and tell me it was not the right disk for the machine. Any ideas? > It needs to be an ATX power supply which has remote power-ON, and that > means an ATX power supply which does *not* have a power switch. > > Get one which is about 300 watts or better. > > These will in all likelihood have extra cables for Pentium chips.
