So a friend gave me a CDRW-DVD drive from an eMac that I thought I'd put in my
Beige MT (Rom C) instead of the floppy drive. I see that the ribbon cable for
the original CD drive has no second connector. Is it possible to use a two
connector ribbon cable and hang the second drive on it in Master /Slave
configuration.

I also have a space on the motherboard ata bus for drives. Can this CD drive
funciton on that bus as a slave?

In my parts drawer I see that I have one ribbon cable that fits and one with a
blanked out hole that doesn't fit the CD drive. Why are these cables different?
Is it 66 and 133 compatibility?

Thanks,
Rich
