I'm looking for a newsreading program that is especially made for downloading large files. I used NewsShark for this in Windows but in moving most of my operations over to the Mac, I would like to be able to accomplish this feat on my B&W as well. I regularly scan the alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.1950s-2000s newsgroups for copies of my old vinyl albums. While I have a hardware/software setup to do this, it is taking much longer than I originally anticipated. Plus there are a few of my old albums that are too scratchy even for the best scratch removal software. I would like this to be is OSX, but I could do it in OS9 if I absolutely had to.

Just a message from Doug...
